Key Account Manager Medical / Pharma (f/m)

Germany, Austria and Switzerland


His/her scope of duties encompasses:

  • Strategy development and implementation plan for the key customers in the territory
  • Maintain and develop customer relationship on short and long term
  • Converting key opportunities into client sales
  • Ensuring long term sales growth as well as short term (year, quarter, month) sales and cost targets
  • Negotiation of key contracts and pricing
  • Coordination and collaboration of European and Global customer activities
  • Build up and constantly enhance account relationship at Director/VP levels


The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing, developing and prospecting pharma/medical industry accounts. The incumbent is accountable for the design and effective execution of a multi-year (3 to 5 year) growth tactical plan for her/his accounts to maximize revenue growth. Moreover the candidate is responsible for the after sales service.

To successfully meet this challenge, the ideal Key Account Manager must:

  • Hold an Engineering or Business Degree (Medical-, Mechanical-, Industrial- or Plastic-Engineering, ); pharmaceutical background is a plus but not a requirement
  • Have 3-5 years experience of key account management in an international business to business activity selling value added products in a competitive environment requiring significant follow-up in service, supply and quality
  • Be fluent in German and English, French language skills are an advantage but not a must


S)he should be a dynamic person with energy and a team player with communication skills. The candidate should be a stable personality, goal orientated and open minded.

  • Passion for customer, relationship management
  • Ability to understand strategic and operational business issues and identify actions & solutions to address them
  • Experience in coordination of elaborate projects in cross site and cross cultural environment
